Justin Bieber's lead foot gets Fisker Karma pulled over
Justin Bieber's Fisker Karma is a fast, mean, ticket-earning machine! After being pulled over for flying down the freeway, one Los Angeles official believes the singer should have been arrested.
Justin Bieber's speeding habit is getting out of hand, according to one Los Angeles official. The 18-year-old was pulled over Friday, after a witness called 911 to report a shiny Fisker Karma flying down the freeway.
Unfortunately for Justin Bieber, the witness isn't just any alert citizen — he's L.A. City Councilman Dennis Zine — who served the LAPD as a motor officer for 18 years!
Though the "Mariah" singer was cited for going 80 mph, Zine claims he saw the flashy Fisker Karma topping 100 on the 101 Freeway.
"Bieber was driving like a maniac. He was weaving in and out of traffic," Dennis Zine told TMZ. "There was hardly any space between cars as he weaved from lane to lane."
Adding his professional opinion, Zine continued, "If I was on patrol, I would have arrested him for reckless driving. I was going 60 and he drove by me like he was in a rocket ship. He was a maniac."
The cause for such speed? Paparazzi looking to photograph Justin Bieber.
Scooter Braun, the teen sensation's manager, said Zine "is just a councilman looking for a headline," noting his client was only cited for going 80 mph. Braun added the paparazzi continued to follow Justin Bieber even after the ticket incident, but rather than try to run again the young man called 911 this time around.
Police pulled the whole group over again, gave the paparazzi a warning, then let everyone go. Law enforcement is reportedly investigating the paparazzi involved for creating a hazardous situation.
