Hathaway breaks hearts and bones in Dark Knight Rises
The Dark Knight Rises is arguably the most anticipated film of the year. It will mark the end of Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale's Batman trilogy. We've seen the Caped Crusader take on The Joker and The Scarecrow, now it's time for Catwoman!
Don't let the cute face fool you. Anne Hathaway is dangerous, or at least her alter ego is. This month, the actress plays one of the most infamous figures in comic book history -- Selina Kyle aka Catwoman.
Hathaway stars alongside Christian Bale in the latest entry in the Batman franchise, The Dark Knight Rises. Her character Catwoman takes center stage in a new TV spot that features her roughing up a few bad men.
By nature, Catwoman is a burglar, who has a thing for rare jewels. Because of her criminal activities, she constantly bumps heads with Batman. To say they have a tumultuous relationship is an understatement. In the comics, they tread the thin line between love and hate.
In director Christopher Nolan's trilogy, he's focused on Batman's origin story. He's really allowed him to find his superhero footing. He's wrestled with The Scarecrow (Cillian Murphy), The Joker (Heath Ledger) and now he'll have to balance Catwoman and Bane (Tom Hardy).
