The Hunger Games Jennifer Lawrence makes real-life rescue
Jennifer Lawrence is accustomed to kick-butt action on the big screen as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games. But she was pulled into a very real emergency Monday night.
Perhaps taking a cue from Ryan Gosling, who has "saved" not one but two lives in the past year, Jennifer Lawrence also unwittingly got into the life-saving action while walking her dog on Monday evening.
Imagine, like the 21-year-old The Hunger Games star, you're out on a walk with Fluffy or Fido and come across a young girl passed out on your front lawn.
If you were an a**-kicker like Lawrence, you wouldn't panic. You wouldn't freeze. You'd calmly call 911, console the girl with the unidentified problem, and wait until the EMT arrived.
No "I'm a big-time movie star!" mentality for this one.
X17Online.com, which broke the story, said there were other bystanders who stayed with the girl. But no one seemed to either recognize -- or pay attention to -- the glamorous star in her not-so-glamorous workout gear in their midst.
An official with the Santa Monica Police Department told ABC News that the girl will be OK.
Apparently, she had either passed out because of illness or too much drink. Either way, police aren't saying much because the girl is underage.
The Hunger Games star is just of age, and is currently in full-on work mode, as she amps up to start filming the second installment of the hit saga -- Catching Fire, alongside Aussie actor and the soon-to-be Mr. Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth.
