Lisa Loeb welcomes her second child
Lisa Loeb and her husband have announced through Twitter their second child was born Friday in Los Angeles.
Lisa Loeb sure has come a long way since having her own reality show to find a husband just six years ago.
Loeb and her husband Roey Herskovitz welcomed their second child on Friday.
According to People magazine, Emet Kuli Loeb Herskovitz was born Friday, June 15 in Los Angeles. Emet joins Loeb and Herskovitz’s daughter Lyla Rose, who was born in November of 2009.
The couple was married January 2009. Herskovitz is the music production supervisor for Late Night with Conan O’Brien (now Conan).
During this pregnancy, Loeb has spent time blogging about pregnancy and being a mother.
“I think I was nauseous for more months with this pregnancy,” she told Pregnancy Magazine. “But like the last, I've done a pretty good job in eating away those feelings!”
With a two-year-old and a new baby to prepare for, the Loeb/Herskovitz household has been pretty busy.
“Our daughter is excited to be a big sister -- we talk about it a lot. We introduced her to the idea by giving her the gift of a book that explains what being a big sister is all about,” she said. “Also, we're doing a little remodeling to accommodate the baby, so watching the progress has made us all very excited.”
Loeb has also written music and a book for children. In 2011, she released Lisa Loeb's Silly Sing-Along: The Disappointing Pancake and Other Zany Songs, a book that also included a CD.
“The next book focuses on songs that will make kids move,” she told Pregnancy Magazine. “I hope to spark the imaginations of everyone reading along, but it will also get kids doing all of the fun actions associated with the songs."
In her most recent blog with People magazine, Loeb talked about getting through the last few weeks of pregnancy.
“I’m thinking about what lies ahead: the addition of another little family member, the logistics of the nursery, tying up loose ends with all the projects I’m currently working on and getting another glass of water.”
