Portland actor Isaac Lamb uses Bruno Mars’ “Marry Me” (and a cast of family and friends) to propose to his girlfriend. The result, which has gone viral thanks to a YouTube link, puts every other marriage proposal to shame.
It is one of man’s most stressful moments: How do you propose in a memorable, unforgettable fashion? Over an intimate dinner? Maybe on an impromptu vacation? Or, if you are Portland actor Isaac Lamb, you recruit your friends and family so they can surprise your fiancee with an eye-popping lip-dub proposal to Bruno Mars’ “Marry Me.”
On behalf of guys everywhere, Mr. Lamb, I’d like to sarcastically say, “Thanks. Thanks a whole lot.”
In a video that has gone viral, Lamb asks his fiancee, Amy Frankel, to sit in the back of their car so he can play her a song. Little by little, as Mars’ catchy ditty unfolds, those recruited by Lamb appear in the street (with props!) to sing along.
Part of the fun is watching Frankel’s gleeful reaction, which must have been captured by a second camera.
“I was completely floored,” the 33-year-old Frankel told The Oregonian. “We had talked about wanting to get married, but I never would have expected that in a million years.”
To no one’s surprise, Lamb and Frankel are involved in musical theater. He’s a local actor who met Frankel at an audition for West Side Story.
Oh, and if this were ever in doubt, The Oregonian reports that Frankel said yes.
