There is such a thing as too much of a good thing -- or of anything, especially when it comes to tanning. And Patricia Krentcil is stopping her bad habit!

Tanning Mom banned from salonsKristen Wiig can tan all she wants in case she needs to portray the toasty Patricia Krentcil again on Saturday Night Live. However, the same can't be said for the Tanning Mom herself, who won't be feeding her dangerous and scary habit any longer.

The mother who currently faces child endangerment charges for taking her young daughter to a tanning salon has officially been banned from her local hot spots. According to the New York Daily News, a chain of eight New Jersey salons have banned her from their tanning beds.

The Ridgefield-based Planet Sun put up photos of Krentcil inside their locations so employees would know what the banned customer looked like.

"It’s 100% true," said an employee of Planet Sun. "She’s banned."

However, Krentcil notes that the ban doesn't matter, since she's kicked her bad habit on her own and hasn't hit the heat since her April 24 arrest.

"I haven't tanned since all this happened," said Krentcil, who used to frequent the tanning beds up to 20 times a month. "I'm not banned from anything. I didn't go. I don't need to go."

Krentcil admits that she was initially surprised by the tan ban at Planet Sun's eight locations in North Jersey.

"Wow! I didn't know that," she said. "If you don't mind, my attorney will find out."

Her attorney is also supposedly dealing with that new action figure that looks exactly like her as well. "They're making 'Barbie' dolls. That's really funny. This is so stupid."
