Has Suge Knight been arrested for killing Tupac? Gossip saying that the former Death Row Records CEO was taken into police custody on Sunday is running rampant on Twitter!

Suge Knight

The Twitterverse is spreading reports that Suge Knight has been arrested for killing Tupac Shakur 14 years after the rapper's death. Could the gossip be true?

Tupac was fatally wounded on Sept. 7, 1996 and passed away six days later. Reports that Knight has been arrested in 2012 for the unsolved murder seem farfetched, but they are running wild nonetheless.

After Tupac was shot in 1996, there was initial speculation that his murder was somehow related to a rap beef with the Notorious B.I.G., who was shot and killed in similar fashion just six months later. Some believed the second death to be a retaliation murder.

Suge, who has previously denied any involvement in the murder of B.I.G. or Tupac, has his own theory on why the murderer of the 2012 Coachella hologram performer has never been caught. "Maybe the question is... Pac's not really dead... Pac's somewhere else," Knight said in April. "Nobody seen Tupac dead."

Of the missing remains, he went on to say, "The person who supposedly cremated Tupac, this guy got about three million dollars, personally from me, cash, and next thing I know I never heard from the guy or seen him again. He retired and left."

Regardless of the missing body, the Twitter judge and jury at large seem convinced Suge Knight has been arrested for Tupac's death. "They found out who killed Tupac... Suge Knight. Surprised?" wrote one user Monday morning.

"Suge Knight's full of it," wrote another user. "Who pays someone $3 million to cremate a body without checking first to verify it's the deceased? #tupac"

Reacting to the gossip, a third user commented, "Suge Knight killed 2pac they arrested him after 14 years of evidence... it's all over the internet..."

And as well all know, if you read it on the Internet it must be true.
