Jennifer Lawrence thinks the end of the world is coming, thanks to reality shows like Kourtney & Kim Take New York. Are we this close to a society like The Hunger Games?

Jennifer Lawrence talks Kim Kardashian

Are the Kardashians the sign of the end of the world? Yes, according to The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence — and she would know, since she plays post-apocalyptic heroine Katniss Everdeen in the film.

Lawrence, 21, told Parade magazine that she thinks the televised divorce between Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian isn't that much better than seeing 24 Tributes killing each other for the entertainment of others.

"I was watching the Kardashian girl getting divorced. That's a tragedy for anyone, but they're using it for entertainment, and we're watching it," she said. "The books hold up a terrible kind of mirror: This is what our society could be like if we became desensitized to trauma and to each other's pain."

Wow, she has a point. Is it the same thing, though? Kardashian signed up for it, though one could argue Humphries was the one who went through tragedy. We have to admit, unlike Jon Hamm and others, Lawrence actually makes an articulate slam again the K Klan.

She might not like it, but Lawrence better get ready for Kardashian-size fame when The Hunger Games hits theaters on March 23.

"I look at Kristen Stewart now and I think, 'I'd never want to be that famous,' " the brunette actress told Glamour U.K. in the April issue. "I can't imagine how I'd feel if all of a sudden my life was pandemonium."

Get used to it, Katniss --  we mean, Jennifer.
