Drama was a major topic of conversation on the red carpet at the Season 5 premiere of Mad Men Wednesday night, and we’re not even talking about the show!
“We’re at a place where the idea of being ‘elite’ is somehow considered a negative,” Hamm told the mag. “Whether it’s Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated.”
Though it seemed harsh at the time, Hamm told reporters last night that he never meant to hurt Kim’s feelings and that his comments were simply an observation about the state of television right now.
While he clearly isn’t a fan of this genre, his on-screen ex-wife January Jones admits she is addicted to the stuff!
“I watch a lot of reality TV,” said January told SheKnows.
And despite her co-star’s judgment of the show, January adds that she is a big fan of The Kardashians.
“I love that show,” January smiled.
Meanwhile, Kardashian responded to Jon’s criticism Monday on Twitter:
“Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs and creates, ‘stupid,’ is in my opinion careless,” wrote Kardashian.
“I respect Jon and I am a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that not everyone takes the same path in life. We’re all working hard and we all have to respect one another.”
So the question remains… what does she think of Don Draper?
