Jenelle Evans: Teen mom, cyberstalker, jailbird

Mar 7, 2012 at 12:17 p.m. ET

Jenelle Evans rose to notoriety as a new mom who struggles to give up her social life and manage a very complicated relationship with her mother on MTV's Teen Mom 2. Now, after several court dates in 2011 and early 2012, Jenelle adds a third mug shot to her list as she deals with allegations of cyberstalking.

Jenelle Evans was arrested Monday.

Okay so maybe Jenelle Evans isn't exactly a stranger to the justice system, but things have been somewhat quiet since her last legal episode in January 2012.

Flash forward seven weeks and the teen mom, and cast member of MTV's Teen Mom 2, was arrested yet again on Monday for cyberstalking her former boss, James Duffy. You can head over to E! Online to catch her absolutely fantastic mug shot.

Reuters reports a warrant was issued for Evans in North Carolina on Friday but Jenelle didn't turn herself into policy custody until Monday. Why the delay? She was filming a Teen Mom reunion show in New York. When she returned to North Carolina earlier this week she was put behind bars. After a few hours and $1,000 in bond, the Teen Mom star was released. Cyberstalking is a misdemeanor charge and her attorney, Leo Daniels, spoke to E! News about Jenelle's arrest.

"Duffy filed cyberstalking charges against Jenelle," reports E! News. "She has not posted anything about him in a long time. Duffy came up with these accusations… Jenelle was aware of the warrant because Duffy posted all about it on Facebook and Twitter on Friday."

Evans, who is only 20 years old, has now been in trouble with the law three times in just under a year. In April 2011, she received 12 months of probation related to drug charges. A few months later in August 2011, Jenelle was arrested — and spent the weekend in jail — for a parole violation after she failed a mandatory drug test. She tested positive for marijuana.

Jenelle's latest court date is set for March 23, 2012.
