Blake Lively wants Ryan Reynolds to put a ring on it
Word 'round the Rumor Mill: Blake Lively is hoping she'll soon get hitched to boyfriend Ryan Reynolds.
"Put a ring on it" is more than just the chorus to a catchy dance anthem if your name is Blake Lively.
This Gossip Girl is wasting no time putting the hard word on Ryan Reynolds, 32, to propose. The actor squeaked his way to the top of the weekend box office in his action hit Safe House -- but he's having a tough time wiggling away from uncomfortable chatter about settling down with Blake.
The leggy blonde has been romancing her Green Lantern co-star since calling it quits with notorious modelizer Leonardo DiCaprio last fall. But she's already got babies on the brain.
And it's all because of The Rules.
Relationship gurus Ellen Fein and Sherrie Schneider have been dishing the deets on landing the man of your dreams since 1996. Their controversial dating guide, The Rules, features old-fashioned tactics designed to teach a woman how to land her desired man. Playing hard-to-get and letting the man do all the emotional heavy lifting is strongly encouraged.
The Rules have become rules to live by for Blake, 24.
"Blake loves [the] dating book The Rules and has been following it to the letter. They haven't been together for six months and she is already talking marriage and babies," a friend of the couple snitches in the new issue of In Touch Weekly magazine.
Blake's barking up the wrong tree if she's expecting a ring from Ry anytime soon, pals say. Reynolds' ill-fated union with Golden Globe-nominated darling Scarlett Johansson has made the actor gun-shy about diving feet first into a second marriage.
"Ryan cares for Blake, but he rushed into marriage before and he is still not really over that heartbreak."
