The Duggars escape for Valentine's romance
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are celebrating Valentine's Day with a little old fashioned romance -- alone! See what this reality couple is doing the night of the season premiere of 19 Kids and Counting.
Think it's hard to get away for a little couple time when you've got a kid or two at home? Try it with 19 kids! Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have somehow made it work and are spending Valentine's Day blissfully alone on a romantic New York City vacation.
What inspired the visit? Michelle hates teddy bears, apparently. "Men don't always know what to get for Valentine's Day," Jim Bob told People.
"They have these teddy bears everywhere, and Michelle said, 'Please don't get me one of those giant bears,' so I am going to listen to her and take her out to eat. It is really nice to spend some romantic time together in New York."
The season premiere of 19 Kids and Counting is tonight, and the show will cover the couple's devastating loss of baby Jubilee. "I am feeling good physically," Michelle said. "I am still sad in the fact that we miss our Jubilee, but we don't grieve as those who have no hope. I am thankful for everything that we have to remember her. She is in our hearts."
"I think that really everybody has to deal with loss in their life, and everyone is going to come face to face with death," said Jim Bob.
"Everyone experiences this," Michelle added. "We wanted to celebrate her life."
Watch the season premiere of 19 Kids and Counting tonight at 9/8 Central on TLC.
