Marla Sokoloff is a mom! The actress, once known to many as Gia from Full House, gave birth to a baby girl Wednesday.

A rep for Marla Sokoloff has confirmed the happy news, adding that the 31-year-old and husband Alec Puro have chosen the name Eliotte Anne for their daughter.

After giving birth Sokoloff told People, "Mom, dad and baby are happy as can be and completely in love with each other."

In a blog entry dated Jan. 26 Marla Sokoloff shared her thoughts on becoming a mother two weeks before her due date.

"In the grand scheme of things, these nine months went by pretty quickly," the actress wrote. "Yes, there were weeks that seemed endless and yes, I'm currently complaining about my feet swelling up like balloons and the general discomfort that comes with the end of pregnancy — but all in all the journey has been one that I will never forget."

Alluding to the possibility of a sibling for Elliotte Anne in the future the first-time mom added, "Dare I say… I'm even looking forward to doing it AGAIN?!"

Promising to update fans after giving birth with talk of how life with a newborn is going, Marla Sokoloff gave thanks for her friends' support during the past nine months. "I truly don't think I could have made it through pregnancy without the help and advice of my mommy friends who had babies before me," The Practice and Desperate Housewives alum wrote. "Everything from baby gear to stretch mark cream — my friends were on it!"

Congratulations on baby Elliotte's arrival to Marla Sokoloff!
