Does Brad Goreski ever talk to Rachel Zoe anymore? Not exactly...

Brad Goreski and Rachel Zoe

It's been almost a year and a half since celebrity stylist Brad Goreski left his assistant job with Rachel Zoe. However, it's all he — or anyone else — wants to talk about.

The reality star is promoting his new Bravo show, It's a Brad, Brad World, but reporters don't really care about the show. All they want to know is whether or not he still speaks to Zoe after she blasted him on her show — and he's all too happy to give the inside story.

"It's strange that it turned into this whole thing, because for me it's a very logical thing to assist somebody and then after a certain amount of time choose to leave and go off and do your own thing. And I think that's really a natural progression," he told UnBeige in a new interview.

"I really felt like I had done my time, and I had reached a point personally — it was not anything that Rachel was doing — I had reached a point for me where I was like, 'I'm 33 years old. I love my job, but there's this voice inside of me that's telling me it's time to go.'"

He's right — you can't be an assistant forever, especially when television producers want to give you your own show.

So, the $10 million dollar question: Does Zoe ever keep in touch with any of her former assistants?

"Um, that I don't… I actually, uh, have not heard of a relationship being kept." That's quite the different story than Zoe and Goreski tried to spin after he left in September 2010.

"I love Rachel, and she's taught me everything I know," Brad Goreski told People. "But there's a point where either I do it now, or I'll never know what it's like to spread my wings and soar."

Zoe kept up the lollipops and sunshine façade.

"We couldn't stop hugging and we couldn't stop crying," Zoe said of getting the news. "He did this with such class and elegance. And I get it. I just told him, 'I'm here for you always.'"

However, she later blasted him on her show, The Rachel Zoe Project, for continuing on with his celebrity styling.

"After three years of working together, Brad sat Roger and I down and said, 'I need to make a change. I want to be at home with my dog and my boyfriend, I want my personal life, I want to get out of the limelight,'" Zoe said in the clip. "And of course, within a week of us parting, when Brad went out on his own as a stylist he started to pursue our clients, started going to all these events and doing all the things he said he had no interest in."

Goreski claims that's not the case… at all.

"Under no circumstances did I try to steal someone," he told UnBeige.

"I'm not really out to take anything from anyone. My roster keeps expanding so I must be doing something right."
