Charlie Sheen & Denise Richards like "brother & sister"
Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards have put their acrimonious past behind them and are now like peas and carrots. Is there a reunion in the works?
Remember the first time Charlie Sheen went crazy? When he and Denise Richards were in the midst of their divorce and she had him on tape calling her all sorts of nasty names and wishing her father would die of cancer? Those were fun times for an entertainment reporter.
Alas -- or for them, luckily -- those times seem to be far in the past. Richards and Sheen have been spotted on vacation together in Mexico with their daughters, and Richards said the two are getting along famously for a change.
"It's our 'Modern Family,' I suppose," Richards told Access Hollywood. "Things are good. It was for the kids and it was a nice trip for all of us."
But just to clarify, Richards made sure to be very specific about exactly what the nature of this newly friendly relationship really is.
"We've actually become like brother and sister, we really have," she said. "We've become very, very good friends and we wanted to have a trip with our daughters -- and it's Christmas for them, so it's good. When we all spend time together, it's great for the kids and for us, too. We actually get along."
"I think [the key is] making it about the kids. The stuff between the couple -- if you're divorced -- it's no longer about you anymore," she explained. "You have to be the bigger person and make it about the kids and so that's what we're doing."
Richards and Sheen share two daughters, Sam, 7, and Lola, 6. He also has twin boys, Bob and Max, with his more recent ex-wife Brooke Mueller and an adult daughter with his high school girlfriend Paula Speert.
