Piers Morgan says banned Madonna is grotesque
Piers Morgan won't let Madonna on his show unless she covers up those toned arms of hers.
Piers Morgan Tonight host Piers Morgan hasn't softened in the year since he banned Madonna from his CNN talk show. The outspoken former gossip magazine editor told the ladies on The View that he won't let the singer on his show because of her over-toned arms.
"Grotesque. Why would any woman want to look like a caveman? I'm serious," the former America's Got Talent judge joked to Joy Behar and the rest of the crew.
"I don't want arms like that on my show," So, would he ever reconsider his stance? Only under one condition... "Long sleeves, maybe she can come on."
He's not the only one dogging on the W.E. director: Elton John's partner, David Furnish, took to Twitter with a rant against her win at the 2012 Golden Globes.
"Madonna. Best song???? F**k off!!!" Furnish wrote on Facebook. "Madonna winning Best Original Song truly shows how these awards have nothing to do with merit. Her acceptance speech was embarrassing in its narcissism. And her criticism of Gaga shows how desperate she really is."
Furnish was referring to Madge's recent comments on Lady Gaga's "Born This Way."
"I thought, this is a wonderful way to redo my song "Express Yourself." I mean, I recognized the chord changes," she told Newsweek in an interview, out this month. "I thought it was… interesting."
Despite the Madonna hate, Morgan said he's getting into his role and wants to drastically increase his audience, telling The Huffington Post that he wants to emulate shows like The O'Reilly Factor and The Daily Show.
"We need people to tune in every night for me and the show rather than just for the guest," he said. "You'll start to see a lot more writing come into it and a lot more of my personality stamped over it."
Will he get there? We're not sure -- he's not exactly the most likeable person in the world.
