Rosie O’Donnell is raving about her bride-to-be Michelle Rounds — and she loves both her beauty and her brains. Read on to find out how Rounds is a feminist Barbie.
Rosie O’Donnell is head over heels in love, and the talk show host says she pretty much hit the lottery with her lady.
O’Donnell confirmed the couple’s engagement in December and says she wonders if Rounds knows what she’s doing, marrying someone so different from herself.
“She’s like Ann-Margret,” O’Donnell, 49, told reporters at Tuesday’s National Board of Review Awards Gala in New York. “I constantly go, ‘Are you sure you want to do this?'”
“I’m not a Barbie. She has Mattel stamped on her a**,” O’Donnell said. “She’s literally perfection.”
Aw! It only gets better: O’Donnell doesn’t just love Rounds’ beauty but is way into her brains, too.
“She’s so unbelievably connected and refined,” O’Donnell explained. “I so love her embracing her femininity in a real feminist manner. To be able to be a lesbian feminine feminist is pretty sexy.”
The comedienne and her lady love reside in New York, where same sex marriage is legal — and this wedding will be the real deal, complete with participation from her four kids with former partner Kelli Carpenter.
“They want to be in it,” she said, referring to Parker, Blake, Chelsea and Vivi. “They want to be in tuxedos and dresses and do the whole thing. They’re really excited!”
The couple plans to tie the knot sometime this spring.
