Lady Gaga gone country?
Look who wants to live with the Amish! Her reps are staying tight-lipped, but according to Pennsylvania press reports, pop tart Lady Gaga is on the hunt for a new pad in rural Lancaster County.
Is Big Apple native Lady Gaga hoping to plant some suburban roots?
The outre pop singer, who grew up on Manhattan's upscale Upper East Side, has reportedly been spotted checking out family homes in her boyfriend's hometown of Lititz, Pennsylvania.
Lancaster County is home to one of the biggest Amish communities in the United States. Gaga, known for her edgy songs and outrageous costumes, is looking to buy a house in the rural community, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette said this week.
The recording star is considering purchasing a posh home in an exclusive gated community called Bent Creek, a few miles outside Lititz, Post-Gazette informants have learned.
And sources say Gaga, whose given name is Stefani Germanotta, is so intent on picking up a pad near where her man was raised, she's already picked one out.
The four-bedroom property being eyed by Gaga is worth $1.7 million. The pad features marble floors, stone fireplaces, a home gym and a spiral staircase.
It isn't everyday that Lititz locals get to live next door to a celebrity. Taylor Nehlig, a Lancaster native, is ecstatic at the prospect of lodging so close to the world's most influential pop star.
"I've heard she's very low-key and normal, despite all of her exotic performances, her shoes and her crazy costumes," Nehlig says. "They might have to step up front gate security a little bit!"
We should mention that Anne M. Lusk, the realtor who listed the property on Oak Hill Drive, denies that the star has expressed interest in the home. Gaga's reps, on the other hand, aren't talking.
So just who is the guy who's allegedly inspired Gaga to go country?
The "Born This Way" singer is dating The Vampire Diaries actor Taylor Kinney, a Lancaster County native who appeared as her love interest in the music video for her hit single "Yoü and I." The couple has been spied on clandestine shopping and dining trips in the area in recent months, but only recently went public with their love affair.
Gaga, 25, has always refused to talk about her relationship with Taylor, 30. The pair has been careful to leave hotels and parties separately to avoid being photographed together.
Over the weekend, however, Gaga and Kinney were pictured out walking together -- just a few feet from the actor's California beach house, where the couple spent a romantic holiday together.
