Kris Humphries is no longer unemployed
The New Jersey Nets are putting free agent hoop star Kris Humphries back to work as part of a recently inked one-year, $8 million deal.

He's still on the dating market (Any takers, ladies?), but he's off the job market.
Apparently, Kim Kardashian's "sloppy seconds" are A-OK with the New Jersey Nets. The team is poised to sign the 6-foot 9-inch NBA hoopster to a deal to return to the team where he's spent the past two seasons, according to new reports.
Kim Kardashian's soon-to-be ex-hubby has agreed to a one-year, $8 million contract, sports buffs buzz. That's more than double the $3.2 million he earned last season.
Humpy has been playing professionally since 2004 -- when he earn $1.4 million as a rookie with the Utah Jazz. He joined the Nets in 2009, earning a reported $2.9 million.
We hear Kris should be suited up to play when the Nets take on the New York Knicks in a preseason game at Madison Square Garden tonight.
It's been a big year of headlines for the Nets. In September, the East Rutherford-based team announced that it will soon be hitting the road and heading over the "Bridge & Tunnel" to set up shop in nearby Brooklyn.
They team toyed with some new team names, including the Brooklyn Kings or the Brooklyn Bridges, but ultimately decided to retain the Nets moniker when the team moves to New York for the 2012-13 season.
And when they arrive next September, BK native and Nets part-owner Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter will open the team's new arena -- The Barclays Center -- with a live performance.
