Glee preview: “Hold On To Sixteen

Can the return of Sam Evans help the New Directions’ chances at sectionals? Find out on a new episode of Glee.

Sectionals are always an exciting episode on Glee, but this time things are a little more personal as it’s friend against friend.

Santana, Brittany and Mercedes will face their former glee club at sectionals this week, as it’s The Troubletones vs. New Directions on the new episode dubbed “Hold On To Sixteen.”

The new episode is also marking the return of Chord Overstreet as Sam Evans, and his return is part of a strategy to help the New Directions beat the girls of The Troubletones.

Fox officially describes “Hold On To Sixteen” as the following: “In an attempt to recruit a few more members, Finn tracks down former teammate Sam Evans (Chord Overstreet) and convinces him to come back to the glee club. Tina comes to the defense of Mike and encourages him to pursue his dream while McKinley prepares to host the big sectionals performance in the all-new “Hold On To Sixteen” episode of Glee airing Tuesday, Dec. 6 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.”

Chord Overstreet recently told Entertainment Weekly, “Finn and Rachel are looking for somebody to help them with sectionals.”

He added, “So they bring [Sam] back to school. He tries to kind of pick everything back up where he left off and he realizes that everything has changed a little bit since he’s gone. He has to kind of readapt a little bit.”

Who do you think is going to take sectionals? Will it be The Troubletones or New Directions? Will Sam Evans be the key to victory?
