George Michael is slowly improving say docs
George Michael is making improvements in an Austrian hospital after he was rushed there with a bad case of pneumonia.
Iconic British singer George Michael is said to be making a slow and steady recovery after he was hospitalized in Vienna, Austria, over the weekend with severe pneumonia.
"The latest development in Mr. Michael's case -- which has evolved from a severe pneumococcal infection -- necessitated intensive care due to its severity and extension," professors Gottfried Locker and Christoph Zielinski told Reuters.
"We are happy to announce that Mr. Michael is improving steadily with an impressive regression of pneumonic symptoms and follows a steady rate of improvement as hoped," they added. "As we said previously, complete rest and peace and quiet are mandatory."
Hospital officials also shot down British tabloid rumors that the "Faith" singer's medical problems are more serious than reported.
"There are no other health issues with regards to the patient other than the underlying pneumonic disorder, and no further measures had to be taken," they said, adding that he's receiving top-notch care in the Austrian capital.
"Michael is receiving precisely the same treatment as any ordinary patient in Austria would receive at the hospital for this disease."
The singer was getting back on track in his life after a series of arrests stemming from his substance abuse problems. He was on a European tour when he fell ill, prompting his team to cancel the rest of the dates.
One group of "Christians" actually hopes that the former Wham! singer doesn't recover from his illness.
"Apparently George Michael has AIDS. Figures since he's a homosexual and it goes with the territory. Another sodomite bites the dust?" a person tweeted from the GodsWordIsLaw account.
"Once George Michael bites the dust, it'll be the perfect time to roll out new anti-sodomy ads. This lifestyle is clearly dangerous" read another tweet. "Pray for George Michael's demise. He has chosen a satanic lifestyle and must meet an appropriate end."
Doesn't the Bible teach love and forgiveness? They must have skipped those verses.
