Son of Sean "Diddy" Combs gets a full ride to UCLA
The son of Sean "Diddy" Combs is celebrating today after getting a full ride to UCLA. What did he win the scholarship for?
Diddy's kid is a baller -- literally. The son of Sean Combs just earned himself a full ride to UCLA on a football scholarship!
Justin Combs will attend the University of California, Los Angeles in 2012 after earning himself a full scholarship based on his performance both on the field and in the classroom. Currently a high school student at the prestigious Iona Prep, the mini Diddy has a 3.75 GPA and is head of the African American Society.
Sean Combs simply could not contain his pride at the news.
"As a parent, today is one of the proudest moments of my life," Combs said in a press release.
"This is everything a father could want for his son, for him to excel at what he loves to do and is truly passionate about. Justin is a shining example of what hard work, determination and a strong mentality can achieve. I am honored to call him my son and am happy that he is fulfilling his dream."
The achievement is not without controversy, of course. Many internet quarterbacks believe that with the kind of money Sean Combs has, the scholarship should have gone to someone who would not have otherwise been able to afford the college. However, athletic scholarships are rarely need-based. Perhaps Diddy could make a generous donation to the school's scholarship fund instead?
Justin's first brush with his own fame was when his birthday party was featured on the MTV show My Super Sweet 16, where his rich and famous dad presented him with a $360,000 Maybach as his first set of wheels.
