Melissa McCarthy says weight is "up and down"
Weight was the word when Melissa McCarthy stopped by the Anderson show recently. The actress and mother of two says she remains "a work in progress."
Melissa McCarthy recently stopped by the Anderson show. Just like many other interviews as of late, the topic of conversation turned to the actress' weight.
"I've been up and down," Melissa McCarthy told Anderson Cooper of her weight during filming. The Emmy-winning actress continued, "I've been much thinner since my second baby. I'm still working on it. It's a work in progress."
"Do I hope I wake up tomorrow and people go, 'What's the matter with her?' I hope I wake up at, like, 94 pounds," the Mike and Molly star joked. "But I don't think that's going to happen."
Yet while everyone else seems happy to discuss her weight at length, Melissa McCarty has more important things on her mind -- like her family. The funny woman wed fellow actor Ben Falcone in 2005. Together they are parents to 4-year-old Vivian and 1-year-old Georgette.
"Two kids, I'm 41. There's so many other things to worry about," McCarthy said. "I still worry about it, but I think, my kids are healthy, I've got a great husband and I go to work every day and do what I want."
"I'll keep working on [my body]," she added. "I just can't put any time to worrying about it."
Previously, McCarthy commented on her weight by sharing that she dreams of waking up a size zero. "I'm such a clothes whore, I would love the opportunity to be a hanger," she told Entertainment Weekly. "But I think I'm more confident than I've ever felt in my life. I always thought it was worth the fight. Now I know it is."
"Comedy to me is all about the bumps and bruises and weird tics," she went on to say. "It's everything you find out about somebody when you fall in love with them that on paper is really creepy but you find adorable."
You can catch Melissa McCarthy's appearance on Anderson on Monday.
