Breaking Dawn premiere -- Robert Pattinson

Looking to get a glimpse of Robert Pattinson's backside when the romance heats up in Breaking Dawn? Don't get your hopes up too high -- only some parts of him will be seen on the big screen.

Fans anxiously awaiting the Nov. 18 debut of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 1 can expect to set their peepers on Robert Pattinson's butt cheek, along with some skillfull post-production handiwork. According to the film's editors, crack is indeed whack.

"There was a bit too much butt crack, I think," Breaking Dawn heartthrob Robert Pattinson divulged while visiting Ellen. "That was one thing I know they cut out. They didn't cut the shot or whatever, they just cut the crack out."

The 25-year-old, pictured here at the Breaking Dawn premiere with Kristen Stewart, went on to explain how the crack-cutting process works, saying, "They just painted over it!"

Host Ellen DeGeneres inquired into the subject further. "It makes you look like you don't have a crack. They cover it so there is no crack on your butt? You just look like one solid cheek?"

"You're allowed to show cheek," the Edward Cullen actor clarified. "You can't show crack."

Of shooting Breaking Dawn's love scenes Robert Pattinson previously shared, "We show romance in the bedroom and also in a nice ocean setting. It was impossible in the waves. We were trying to kiss each other and we misjudged the strength of the tide and so it was absolutely one of the most difficult things I've ever had to do in my life. There were big waves and Kristen and I were standing on boxes tied down to the shore. God, it was absolutely impossible. One thing I have to say, we shot those scenes in the Caribbean, so the water was warm."

The special The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 1 episode of Ellen is set to air Friday, Nov. 18. Guests include Taylor Lautner, Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, Peter Facinelli and Elizabeth Reaser.
