Chelsea Handler has signed a new deal that will see the comedian sticking with E! until 2014.
Chelsea Handler knows a good thing when she sees it and that includes her current relationship with E!
She’s hysterical, witty and not going anywhere — at least until 2014.
According to a report from Deadline, Chelsea Handler’s new deal with E! not only keeps her on the cable network until 2014, it also grants the host of Chelsea Lately and creator of After Lately a “first look” agreement.
The “first look” agreement allows Handler to “develop” and “produce” vehicles for E! and NBC Universal via her production company, Borderline Amazing Productions.
Chelsea Handler said of her new deal, “It’s a great time for women in comedy, and it’s a great time to have real breasts.”
Deadline is also speculating that the deal is worth $25 million.
Not only is Handler signing new deals and hosting late night, she also has a new series, called Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea getting ready to debut on NBC. The series is based off of her 2008 book.
Chelsea recently accepted the “Queen of the Night” award at the Glamour Awards where she told onlookers, “I love women. I love supporting women. I love giving women jobs. I love being a woman and being a good friend and a sister, because I’ll never be a mother!”
Leave it to Chelsea Handler to end a speech with sassy humor.
In case you’re wondering, After Lately will begin its second season on Nov. 27. We can’t wait for that!
