This indie comedy is directed by Jason Reitman of Thank You for Smoking and Up in the Air fame. This is Reitman’s second time pairing with Oscar-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody. They previously worked together on Juno, the teen dramedy about a pregnant girl trying to find her way in the world.
Young Adult is sure to offer the same quirky overtones about life in the Midwest with plenty of scenes of Theron getting drunk, saying the wrong thing and falling on her ass — just how we like it!
