The Breaking Dawn trio of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are now immortalized like their Twilight Saga counterparts! The actors who play Edward, Bella and Jacob imprinted their hand and footprints into cement outside Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood.
Jimmy Kimmel hosted the event that also featured The Twilight Saga author Stephenie Meyer. “Taylor will also be putting his abs in the cement,” Kimmel joked before the stars got down and dirty.
“I think this is the coolest thing I’ve ever done in my life,” Stewart told the press.
Fans were there early, according to one SheKnows’ spy. “Twi-hards were lined up waiting for this when I drove by at 7:45 a.m.,” our source said. “And it wasn’t tweens.”
Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner were all appreciative of the fans’ love.
“There are a few moments that mean so much, it’s really even hard to explain, and this is definitely one of those,” Lautner told reporters.
Pattinson joked that he was nervous. “This is incredibly scary,” Pattinson laughed. “I also forgot how hot L.A. was. I shouldn’t have worn a suit.”
However, he was also sufficiently humble about their success.
“This is such an incredible honor,” he added. “How young we are, it’s kind of ridiculous and amazing at the same time.”
We won’t have to wait much longer to see the trio together again: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn hits theaters worldwide on Nov. 18.
