Kris Humphries' parents lash out at Kim Kardashian
Kris Humphries' parents say Kim Kardashian is making a mistake by not giving their son a second chance.
Kris Humphries' parents, William and Debra Humphries, have been quiet about their son's very public relationship and marriage to reality television star Kim Kardashian until now. The Humphries are now speaking up and defending their son, telling close family and friends that Kardashian is making a massive "mistake" for giving up on their son only after 72 days of marriage.
Kardashian called it quits by filing divorce papers on Halloween day before flying out to Australia for promotional work, leaving her husband distraught and "blindsided," according to media reports. Sources close to the NBA star's family tell gossip website TMZ that while there was tension in their marriage, they never imagined that the couple would divorce so quickly. As one source put it, "Everyone fights," states TMZ.
Humphries' parents and family, who were left out during most of the couple's wedding planning, are now saying that Kardashian is making a huge "mistake" and insisting that she never gave the marriage a fighting chance and should have tried harder to make things work before giving up so quickly. They are also trying to convince Humphries to save his marriage by talking his wife down off the ledge and slamming the brakes on the divorce proceedings, TMZ adds.
The site goes on to say that William and Debra Humphries adore their daughter-in-law and are hoping that the divorce doesn't go through -- particularly because "it would kill Humphries" if it was really the end.
Kardashian, meanwhile, doesn't seem to be holding any remorse, posting a message to her fans on her official website, saying that she might have "rushed in to something too soon" with her marriage. She writes, "Everyone that knows me knows that I'm a hopeless romantic! I love with all of my heart and soul. I want a family and babies and a real life so badly that maybe I rushed in to something too soon."
While we don't think she'll be giving her marriage a second chance, the buxom reality star might want to consider getting off television if she wants that real life so badly.
