Scarlett Johansson opens up to Vanity Fair about the nude photos that were hacked from her email.
Scarlett Johansson may be upset that her phone was hacked and nude photos of here were splashed all over the internet, but she’s not ashamed she took them.
“They were sent to my husband,” she tells Vanity Fair, referring to her ex-husband Ryan Reynolds. “There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s not like I was shooting a porno, although there’s nothing wrong with that either.”
In fact, the 26-year-old actress thinks she got some good shots of herself. “I know my best angles,” she quipped.
FBI arrested the man they believe is responsible for hacking into the email accounts and leaking nude photos of Johansson, nude photos of Mila Kunis and nude photos of Christina Aguilera. Christopher Chaney told police he hacked into their accounts by figuring out their passwords by trying their favorite movies, pets and even nicknames of siblings. Once he got into their email accounts, he used a forwarding program so that every email sent was also sent to him.
“It started as curiosity and it turned to just being addictive,” Chaney told police. “Seeing the behind-the-scenes of what’s going on with the people you see on the big screen.”
Johansson said that dealing with her divorce from Reynolds and the leak of the nude photos was a difficult time for her. She says she threw herself into the Broadway play, A View from the Bridge, which she won a Tony for, but after that ended, she felt lost.
“I didn’t really know what to do with myself. It was such a strange time. There was nothing that was interesting to me. I had a very public separation. It was difficult. I felt very uncomfortable,” she said.
