Ryan Seacrest confirms Kim Kardashian divorce
Surprise, surprise: Kim Kardashian is seeking a divorce from Kris Humphries less than three months after their "fairytale wedding."
Kim Kardashian is filing for divorce from Kris Humphries after less than three months of marriage, confirms TMZ and E! News honcho Ryan Seacrest.
"Yes @kimkardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her, getting a statement in just a few mins," Seacrest wrote.
TMZ first broke the news early Monday morning.
"We found out Kim's filing for divorce this morning... INSANE. They never even got along," TMZ chief Harvey Levin tweeted Monday morning. The website added to the tweet with a post on their website.
"We're told even though the marriage was short, she will not seek an annulment. It's a garden variety divorce, in which Kim cites 'irreconcilable differences,'" TMZ reported.
"Kim has hired disso-queen Laura Wasser, who has repped the likes of Britney Spears, Maria Shriver, Angelina Jolie, Ryan Reynolds, and Robyn Gibson, Mel's almost ex-wife," the report continued.
A source confirms to SheKnows that Kardashian and Humphries are getting a divorce and Kardashian told SheKnows the same thing in a statement.
"After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don't work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best."
"They're going two separate directions (with work). They'll figure it out as soon as they get back," Kim's mother Kris Jenner added.
The duo got engaged in May with a lavish announcement and made-for-television proposal that included Kardashian's famous $2 million dollar engagement ring. They wed on Aug. 20 with a multi-million dollar ceremony in Santa Barbara before trekking to New York City for the new season of Kourtney and Kim Take New York.
We're taking bets: Will Kardashian's divorce be chronicled on the new season of the show? We say yes!
