Sesame Street welcomed a new friend to the block -- singer Elvis Costello.
The monsters of Sesame Street recently rubbed furry elbows, or whatever it is they have, with music legend Elvis Costello.
Elvis Costello lent his cool voice to Sesame Street for a duet with everyone's favorite Muppets, Elmo and Cookie Monster.
So, what happens when you put Elvis Costello, Cookie Monster and Elmo together in perfect monster-human harmony?
You get Monster Went and Ate My Red 2. Poor Cookie Monster was hungry and Elvis Costello just wanted to count -- see for yourself...
Okay, we're going to have Cookie Monster shouting cowabunga in our head for the rest of the day. Poor guy -- he was just hungry!
The Sesame Street ditty from Elvis Costello, Cookie Monster and Elmo will probably sound familiar to some of you Costello fans out there.
It's actually set to the tune of his song (The Angels Wanna Wear My) Red Shoes, but Monster Went and Ate My Red 2 is much more kid-friendly.
The 42nd season of Sesame Street is focusing on incorporating the STEM curriculum, which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
