Kate Bosworth talks Orlando Bloom break-up
Kate Bosworth says that her break-up with the Hollywood heartthrob was one of the most painful experiences of her life.
The ex-couple were together on-and-off for nearly four years before going their separate ways in 2006. Bosworth says her break-up with Bloom was so bad both emotionally and physically that it gave her feelings of vertigo.
Bosworth says in an interview with Britain's Sunday Times Style, "You know when you put all your chips into something, then it disappears? The break-up sent me into such pain, I think I had actual vertigo. I was like, 'Is this my new reality? Will anything be normal again?'"
She adds, "Then one day you wake up and you think, OK, I'll never be the same, but I'll survive and I'll grow from it."
Despite Bosworth's post-traumatic break-up symptoms, the Superman Returns actress is now dating director Michael Polish after ending a relationship with True Blood hottie Alexander Skarsgard earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Bloom is happily married to Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr. The couple has a 10-month-old son, Flynn.
Even though their break-up was painful, there doesn't seem to be any hard feelings between the ex-couple. Bosworth and Bloom were spotted earlier this summer in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles where eyewitnesses report seeing the two exchange a cordial, friendly hug.
One observer told Us Weekly magazine, "They were genuinely smiling to one another like friends, but didn't linger very long."
