The Vampire Diaries preview: “Smells Like Teen Spirit

Klaus is running and Stefan is on Damon-watch — The Vampire Diaries is definitely heating up the chilly fall air.

Elena (Nina Dobrev) survived the ticking time clock last week on The Vampire Diaries, but what will she do now that Stefan is back, keeping a watchful eye on Damon (Ian Somerhalder)?

Stefan (Paul Wesley) was compelled to turn off his emotions by Klaus (Joseph Morgan) last week on The Vampire Diaries, and with his commander on the run from a thought-to-be napping Mikael (Sebastian Roche) — who is a vampire that’s also a vampire hunter, what will Stefan do this week?

On this week’s new episode, “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” everyone’s back at Mystic Falls High for their senior year, but not everyone’s head is in the game.

“The Reckoning” changes everything >>

Stefan is still under Klaus’ thumb, Matt is worried he made a mistake and Damon’s got a pesky houseguest — well, Damon’s not a student, but you get the point.

Check out a preview of “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and then watch the full episode Thursday night…

The CW officially describes “Smells Like Teen Spirit” as the following: “On the first day of their senior year, Elena, Caroline, Bonnie and Matt are still reeling from recent events, while Tyler seems to be enjoying everything a little too much. Damon is annoyed by a new houseguest, and everyone is surprised by the arrival of a new student in Alaric’s history class. Matt asks Bonnie for help when he realizes he made a serious mistake. Meanwhile, Stefan continues to carry out his latest assignment from Klaus.”

With so many twists and turns on this season of The Vampire Diaries, have you had a chance to catch your breath? You may want to catch it fast, because more Originals are on their way and it’s about to get interesting.

Alice Evans will be making her way to the screen as Mama Original, and how they lay her story out will no doubt leave us vamping-out for more.

Plus we’ve been promised more Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and then there’s this whole Mikael situation — we’re guessing he might be Papa Original, the father of Klaus’ siblings.

CW teams with Netflix >>

This is Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec creating the series — they do not disappoint.

Tell us what you think about season three of The Vampire Diaries and don’t forget to check out “Smells Like Teen Spirit” Thursday (Oct. 20).
