Whitney Houston tussles with flight crew
Singer and actress Whitney Houston has her life back in order... or does she? The singer was nearly kicked off a Delta flight after an onboard fight with the crew.
Let's get the cliché out of the way now: Houston, we have a problem.
Singer Whitney Houston was involved in a fracas abroad a Delta airlines flight from Atlanta to Detroit when she refused to buckle her seatbelt. She reportedly "went diva" on a flight attendant before another crew member threatened to kick her off the flight, according to TMZ.
"Whitney eventually allowed one of the crew members to grab the buckle and fasten it for the singer -- and the plane was then cleared for takeoff," the gossip website reported.
Is Houston's well-known battle with drug and alcohol addiction a problem again? "No," says a source.
"She wasn't drunk, drinking or on drugs; she was just exhausted," a source told People.
A source echoed the same to TMZ.
"Whitney eventually allowed one of the crew members to grab the buckle and fasten it for the singer -- and the plane was then cleared for takeoff," the source said, adding that she was going to Detroit to film a movie. She's playing Effie in the upcoming film Sparkle, co-starring Jordin Sparks.
We've contacted Houston's reps to get more on the story.
The singer first went to rehab in 2004 for her drug and alcohol addiction. She eventually got sober, telling Diane Sawyer that it was time to get clean.
"I partied a lot. Trust me: I partied my tail off," Houston said. "You get to a point where you know the party's over."
The party wasn't over, though: Houston went back to rehab in May 2011.
