Prince Harry parties in San Diego
Prince Harry was seen partying at a San Diego club during his first week of military training at the El Centro Naval Air Facility. The Prince of Wales is here to begin a two-month military helicopter training course that will prepare him for combat.
It didn't take long for the handsome Prince of Wales to be spotted at a local California area nightclub.
Prince Harry, or Captain Wales as he's known in the Air Force, touched down on American soil on Thursday and by Saturday night, he was seen partying at the Ivy Nightclub in downtown San Diego.
The 27-year-old Harry was with about 20 friends. The New York Daily News reported that Harry was served Absolut Vodka, Red Bull and beer.
At midnight, the group changed things up a bit, bringing the party to the pool area and watching a game of rugby from a private cabana.
Harry reportedly hung out at the club on his own private balcony with a group of both men and women until 2 a.m. He was also reportedly seen at McP's Irish Pub in Coronado, California over the weekend as well.
When off duty, Officer Wales is allowed off base, but he and the other officers are not permitted to cross the border into Mexico.
Naval Air Facility El Centro is a popular place to stage Hollywood-style army training and the base was used in the films Jarhead and Top Gun.
Said U.S. Captain Devon Jones to People magazine, "We will treat him as we do all our British personnel. Our base is accommodating to all of them. He is welcome to all the facilities. He'll be under the syllabus designed for him and I'm sure he'll have plenty to do."
