Amanda Seyfried: Fame drove me to therapy
Amanda Seyfried reveals her innermost secrets in the November issue of Glamour UK.
Actress Amanda Seyfried is revealing some very private information that few celebrities are willing to admit: She has panic attacks. The actress admitted in the new issue of Glamour UK that she's in therapy to deal with the scary attacks that started after she became famous.
"I still do get terribly nervous, and that's partly due to the fact I think too much and overanalyze things," she revealed. "I'll start worrying about my parents or my dog, and I'll picture him opening the window of my apartment and falling out, even though I can't get that thing open myself."
Part of the problem came from her high-profile relationships with Ryan Phillippe and her Mama Mia! co-star Dominic Cooper.
"Dominic and I were together for such a long time, so the coverage was always positive," she said. "But when you've just started seeing someone and that person is really famous, it's more of a story."
"When I was with Ryan, people followed me so much more, and that's probably one of the reasons that I'm not looking to date someone who's famous now," she said.
Seyfried is now dating real estate executive Andrew Joblon. He must be a masculine mama's boy, because she also revealed her dating dealbreakers.
"Someone who treats his mother like [expletive]" and "a guy who waxes his chest," she said.
