Paranomal Activity 3 is set to hit theaters in time for a good Halloween scare — and we’re psyched to get a few answers in the prequel to the uber-successful Paranormal Activity and Paranormal Activity 2.
In the same boat? Now Paramount Pictures is giving fans an opportunity to see the film before anyone else with the first Tweet To See It First contest. As if we needed another reason to get pumped about the movie!
“Paramount Pictures will debut Paranormal Activity 3 exclusively in cities where the most fans Tweet To See It First. This first ever of its kind campaign launched today at 8:00 a.m. and is open to fans worldwide. Paranormal Activity 3 will premiere on October 18th in the top 20 cities with the most tweets, 3 days before the film’s global release,” the studio told SheKnows in a statement. The film will officially open worldwide on Oct. 21, 2011.
How to enter — and win!
Here’s how it works: go to the official Paranormal Activity 3 website and select your city from a global map. From there, you’ll get to draft a tweet with special hash tags; each tweet serves as a vote so the more you tweet, the more chances you have to win. The website will display a real-time leaderboard that shows the 20 global markets with the most votes.
“The support of this franchise from the online community is phenomenal. We again look to reward them for that support by offering them the chance to see it first, this time expanding our reach globally,” said Rob Moore, Vice Chairman of Paramount Pictures.
Don’t wait! The Tweet to See It First contest ends at 11:59 p.m. on Thurs., Oct 13 and the winners will be announced the next day.
