Just weeks after his suicide, the widow of Russell Armstrong is detailing the abuse she claims she suffered at his hands.

Taylor Armstrong says her late husband first put his hands on her when she was pregnant and didn't stop until he sent her to the hospital.

"The first time he ever really harmed me physically, I was pregnant with Kennedy and he grabbed me by the throat and held me against a wall. ... I saw his ability to go from zero to 60 that quickly," Taylor told Entertainment Tonight.

"You live your life constantly on egg shells waiting for the other shoe to drop. You don't know if you're gonna talk to your girlfriend too long at dinner and that's going to cause someone to fly into a rage."

"I don't think he saw himself as an abuser until the last time that he hurt me when I finally ended our relationship."

Photos of a bruised and beaten Taylor were released last week, and she says that incident is what finally caused him to stop.

"When I finally showed him the MRI he just put it down and started to cry," she said. "And I think it was him having to come to terms with the fact that this had gone on for too long and that this could've hurt me beyond what could've been repaired."

Taylor, known for her work on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, decided to leave Russell when she was still in the hospital.

Russell Armstrong had a history of domestic abuse, with charges against him from both his ex-wife and former girlfriend. He was found dead on August 15 after hanging himself, a month and a half after Taylor allegedly told him she revealed his abuse while the Real Housewives cameras were rolling. Just weeks before, Taylor revealed the abuse in People magazine. Taylor found his body.
