ABC Family renews Make It or Break It but cancels Chloe King

ABC Family has sealed the fate of three of its shows: Make It or Break It, The Lying Game and The Nine Lives of Chloe King. One has been renewed, another has received a back order and the remaining has been canceled.

ABC Family has good news for fans of their gymnastics drama Make It or Break It. After a long wait, the series has finally been renewed for another season. They’ve also picked up several more episodes of the freshman series The Lying Game, which debuted this summer.

Make it or Break it Renewed

According to TVLine, ABC Family president Michael Riley released a statement saying, “ABC Family expanded its schedule to present three nights of original programming this summer, and we saw our most successful on record, one that gave us our very own ‘triple-threat’ — Switched at Birth, The Secret Life of the American Teenager and Pretty Little Liars.”

He continued, “Joining this group of series will be another season of Make It or Break It, just in time to ignite Olympic fever, and a back-order of The Lying Game. Our momentum continues to grow, and I’m thrilled with the strength of our schedule which includes a great mix of returning favorites, breakout series and what are sure to be new hits.”

One show missing from his list of praise is The Nine Lives of Chloe King, which has officially been canceled. The supernatural drama was based on a book series written by Liz Braswell that centered on the descendant of an ancient people with cat-like powers.

Make It or Break It will return next year, while The Lying Game currently airs on Mondays at 8 p.m.
