Hugh Jackman will be back on stage — alone — this fall in his one-man show. What will he perform?
Get excited, Hugh Jackman fans! The super hot actor, dancer, singer and all around awesome husband and father is headed back to the Great White Way this fall.
“See Hugh Jackman in a rare & intimate concert appearance. Previews begin 10/25; Opening Night on 11/10,” Jackman tweeted Tuesday afternoon.
Amazing. Basically, the man known as Wolverine will perform “a personal selection” of his favorite songs with an 18-piece orchestra, according to Broadway.com. It’s basically an extension of the one-man show he performed in San Francisco and Toronto earlier this year.
“I can’t believe it’s been seven years since I was singing and dancing on Broadway,” Jackman said in a statement.
Jackman is referring to his Tony Award-winning performance in 2004’s The Boy From Oz. He also performed in the Broadway play A Steady Rain with Daniel Craig for a limited run in 2009.
The actor played coy on a return to Broadway when debuting his one-man show in Toronto earlier this summer.
“The end goal is not Broadway, but I would love to do it on Broadway. The goal was simply to make something that I could do for thirty to forty years that I love doing. It feels like a massive indulgence,” he said.
We can get behind this indulgence — and we’re booking our tickets now.
