Business savvy Lauren Conrad hit Fashion’s Night Out to promote her new clothing line Paper Crown, and dropped a hint about the future of her popular book, “L.A. Candy.”

Former Hills star Lauren Conrad has segued her successful reality career into a full-time job as a fashion designer, author, and now possibly a prime time producer.

Lauren told SheKnows Thursday night at her Paper Crown launch that her bestselling book series, L.A. Candy, will in fact not be hitting the big screen, despite past plans to do so.

"Let's see, what can I say?" L.C. carefully worded her response to us. "It will not be a movie."

Lauren's company, Blue Eyed productions, bought the rights to the screenplay and she was quoted in 2010 saying the movie was in its "early stages."

But Candy fans need not fret. You may actually get more out of this than expected.

"We are exploring options in television," Lauren told SheKnows.

That means multiple episodes instead of just one film…we say sweet deal!
