Redbox DVD/Blu-Ray Report: Labor Day Weekend

With the fall 2011 TV season about to launch, Redbox, Netflix and OnDemand are flush with last season’s fave shows, so you can play catch up over Labor Day Weekend. DVD/Blu-Ray new releases include The Vampire Diaries, Cougar Town, Nikita, House, Desperate Housewives, Parenthood, Detroit 1-8-7, Sons of Anarchy, 90210 and more.

The Vampires Diaries Season Two out on DVD

Labor Day weekend’s DVD/Blu-ray releases are all about catching up on last season’s primetime faves before the 2011 fall season starts. If you’re set on a movie night, however, there are a few fresh picks out there and the releases currently ruling the rental battle are Limitless, Priest, Arthur, Soul Surfer, Jumping the Broom, Dylan Dog: Dead of Night, Take Me Home Tonight, Hoodwinked Too! The Perfect Host: David Hyde Pierce gets freaky in this psychological thriller about a criminal on the run who cons his way into a dinner party, only to realize he’s crashed the wrong party.

Wrecked: Adrien Brody stars in this thriller about a man trapped in a car wreck at the bottom of a cliff who has no idea how he got there and no way to escape.

Police, Adjective: This Romanian crime drama about a police officer who refuses to arrest a young man for offering drugs to his friends won a Jury Prize in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.
