Ryan O'Neal's son arrested -- again
The son of Ryan O'Neal and Farrah Fawcett has been arrested again after cops found heroin in his car.
"At approximately 8:45 a.m. a motor officer observed an argument at a store on Lincoln corner of Michigan," said a police spokesperson. "O'Neal was one of those involved in the argument.
"The officer then watched as he got into his vehicle. He proceeded to go northbound on Lincoln before turning west bound on Olympic, it was at this time the officer observed him going through the red turn arrow."
"The officer stopped him for the traffic violation. A search of his vehicle was done and narcotics were recovered," the officer continued.
He was arrested for suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana in a vehicle, probation violation, and that pesky traffic violation.
Redmond O'Neal still has a year left of probation stemming from a 2009 possession charge, when he was already on probation for DUI and methamphetamine possession charges. The troubled kid has been in and out of rehab four times already and was only allowed to attend Farrah Fawcett's funeral in shackles.
Redmond's attorney confirmed his court date, saying, "My client will be arraigned on Thursday morning. I don't know at this point, what charges he will be facing."
Just hours after his arrest, his half-brother Griffin O'Neal was involved in a head-on collision in San Diego and is currently listed in stable condition. Griffin O'Neal, 46, has been estranged from Ryan O'Neal since a violent altercation involving Griffin's pregnant wife two years before Fawcett's death. Griffin does not appear on The O'Neals, although he is heard talking to Tatum on the phone.
Rough day for the O'Neal family.
