The Bachelorette’s Ashley Hebert reveals her man…

In what some would call a very uneventful season finale of The Bachelorette, Ashley Hebert found her prince: J.P. Read on for all the details.

It’s been a long and often annoying season of The Bachelorette, but Ashley Hebert has made her choice. We were hoping the chatter was wrong and she actually went with Ben F., but we’ll have to deal with her and J.P. riding off into the sunset.

The season finale wasn’t without drama, but we’re wondering if it wasn’t forced drama to give people something to talk about Tuesday morning.

J.P. and Ben F. each got one last chance to impress Ashley and why are we not surprised her new fiance went with a love letter? Even though J.P. poured his heart out in words, Ashley’s sister Chrystie was not so convinced the two belong with each other.

Just a word of advice to family members of future ladies on The Bachelorette, if the girl is insecure already, it’s probably not a good idea to tell her the man isn’t good for her right before he’s about to propose. When her sister broke out the “I don’t think he’s for you” bit, J.P. dropped some F-bombs and Ashley cried big old tears! Poor J.P. hears that the sister won’t be happy if he proposes — that’s just awful.

Chrystie really didn’t have any reasons to not like him, except for that he’s older and she’s younger. It was actually weird the way her sister asked questions to Ashley while they were eating — right in front of J.P., like, “Does J.P. make you laugh?” It was just weird. Everyone else loved J.P., including her mom so she needed to back off. Ashley handled it in a one-one conversation with her sister that included calling her a bitch — ouch! Nothing was resolved in that situation.

Ben F. made a much more favorable impression. Her sister still had the stare going on and it was really creepy. Just to be fair, they do have a totally goofy relationship that made J.P. stand out as the boring one and maybe Chrystie had a point. The big sis did grill him, but was much more comfortable with Ben because he was tall, dark and handsome — gag! So, she gives Ben the approval to propose but not J.P. It was cute watching Ben and Ashley talk in dog voices — such a fun little couple.

Both men told Ashley they loved her on their last day with her, but only one got to put a ring on her finger.

Despite one last day together in Fiji, a helicopter ride, taking a mud bath and saying he loved her (finally), Ashley still couldn’t go with Ben F. Her heart belonged to J.P. and his emotional proposal, thus closing another season of The Bachelorette.

The fact that Ben’s proposal was so short and quick, we knew it was curtains for him. Then when he stormed off, wow that was some emotion. His anger when Ashley caught up with him made us genuinely feel bad. He made a point, you can’t leave something like that on good terms. Truer words have never been spoken.

So, Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum are engaged. Cue the corny montage and music, which just happens to be Can’t Fight This Feeling — their roller skating song — awwwww!

Did you watch all season long? What did you think of this season of The Bachelorette?
