Harry Potter stars: What's next?
Now that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 has asserted box office dominance, what’s left? It was the final installment in the long-running franchise, it broke records left and right but it caused Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint to lose their job security. What’s next for this talented young trio?
Contrary to popular belief, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint had participated in other acting projects outside of the Harry Potter universe. And they already have several plans in motion in order to keep their careers afloat.
After wrapping Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, Daniel Radcliffe embarked on the world of Broadway where he's playing the lead role in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. He also appears in the upcoming thriller The Woman in Black. It's a period piece about a young lawyer who encounters a scorned spirit. It's slated to hit theaters on January 20.
Emma Watson chopped off her hair and will headline the American film The Perks of Being a Wallflower. She's also openly stated that at some point she plans to return to college. We're sure the student body of Brown University will be happy to have her.
Rupert Grint will soon appear in two films that couldn't be more different from each other. The first one is the war drama called Comrade, which will have him fighting Nazis, and the other is the sports flick Eddie the Eagle, where he'll play an English ski jumper. Who knew he had it in him?
It looks like this group of stars has everything in order, so even though we loved them as Harry, Hermione and Ron, it's time to move on. We can't wait to see what the future holds.
