The singer and host of Bravo’s reality show Platinum Hit found out she was pregnant the first day of the series’ taping. She stated, “I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. It was so hard to keep it a secret.”
After many years of struggling to conceive, upon learning she was pregnant, Murray released a statement, “We are so excited to be expecting our first baby. We always knew we wanted to have a child and this time in our lives feels right.”
Jewel and Murray live on a 2,200 acre farm in Stephenville, Texas. The singer has always dreamed of having a child with Murray whom she once called, “My soulmate, he’s a really good guy.” She cheered him on when he hot-footed his way through Dancing With the Stars and he stood by her as she averted tragedy when she was hit by a fire truck at five months pregnant.
Jewel has been working on a children’s album due out in August, titled The Merry Goes ‘Round.
