Bam Margera: 'I can't stop crying'

Bam Margera says, "I can't stop crying," over the death of his best friend, Jackass costar Ryan Dunn.

Jackass star Bam Margera is struggling to come to terms with the still very recent death of his best friend Ryan Dunn, and says despite the risks Dunn took with his life he shouldn't have died.

"He was my best [expletive] friend in the world," Margera said. "It's been five days now and I can't stop crying, man."

"I just don't think it should've been him," added Margera. "It was pretty much the worst news I've ever heard in my life."

Dunn had a blood alcohol content of over twice the legal limit when he crashed his Porsche 911 GT3 while driving around 140 miles per hour. He and his passenger Zachary Hartwell, a newlywed Navy veteran, were killed instantly.

Margera broke down when visiting the crash scene last week.

As for who Margera thinks should have died in Dunn's place, he isn't saying -- but Hartwell's own father seems more levelheaded about the events that led up to the crash.

"Zac made the same mistakes," George Hartwell said. "He speeds, he drives like a maniac, he drinks. Why should I make a monetary gain on my son's death? It's not going to bring him back. They both made the same mistake."

This wasn't the first time Dunn had a gnarly accident -- in fact, he almost killed himself, Margera and Margera's brother in an eerily similar crash.

"He flipped me in a car eight times at the same exact spot in 1996. Thank God I had my seat belt on, because Chris Raab put one on me, but my brother didn't have one on. He flew 40 feet," Margera said. "Thank God he's alive. But like, Dunn was always a maniac at driving."

Ryan Dunn was laid to rest in Ohio on Saturday.
