Jackass star Ryan Dunn dies in car accident
Jackass star Ryan Dunn died in a horrific car accident in Pennsylvania early this morning. He was 34.
Ryan Dunn, one of the stars of the gross-out prank films Jackass, died in a car accident that left little but the charred remains of a nearly unidentifiable car.
While the police are releasing little information other than confirming a fatal accident did occur on the winding country road in West Goshenn, Pennsylvania, the mother of Dunn's Jackass costar Bam Margera confirmed Dunn was killed in the wreck. The reality star was reportedly traveling over 110 miles per hour in his Porsche 911.
Dunn appeared in all three Jackass movies, as well as the Jackass TV show, an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and the movie Street Dreams. At the time of his death Dunn was starring in two shows: Bam's World Domination with pal Bam Margera and Proving Ground, which debuted just days before his death.
Just hours before the crash Dunn posted a photo to his Twitter account showing him drinking with two friends:
It is unclear if the two men in the photo were also in the vehicle with Dunn. April Margera says a second unidentified person was killed in the crash, and a third person may have been in the car as well. The image has since been removed from Twitter.
MTV released the following statement on the death:
"We're deeply saddened by the passing of a member of the MTV family, Ryan Dunn. Our hearts and thoughts are with his friends and family."
