Bad apple: Cameron Diaz is the Bad Teacher
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s Cameron Diaz’s long legs! The tall, svelte actress is hitting the screen this summer in the raunchy comedy Bad Teacher. In it, she plays an educator who breaks every rule in the book to get what she wants -- a man!
Cameron Diaz has gone from playing an assertive assistant in The Green Hornet to a certified slacker in Bad Teacher. The film centers on a junior high teacher named Elizabeth (Diaz) who butts heads with her colleague Amy (Lucy Punch), when she tries to seduce a man (Justin Timberlake) they're both interested in.
Elizabeth has been recently dumped by her sugar daddy and she needs a new one to take his place. Luckily Timberlake's character Scott is just her type. He's rich, attractive and gullible. But unfortunately, Scott seems to be interested in Amy, therefore Elizabeth has to up the ante.
Elizabeth thinks breast implants will help give her the edge over her competition but they aren't cheap! It turns out her school gives out a huge bonus to the teacher whose class scores the highest on the state test and she sees that as her golden ticket! From that point on, it's one gag, joke and inappropriate comment after another.
Are Elizabeth's teaching techniques unconventional? Yes. Does she have ulterior motives? Absolutely. But at least the kids are learning something.
Bad Teacher also stars Jason Segel, Phyllis Smith and John Michael Higgins. The film is directed by Jake Kasdan and will open in theaters on June 24.
