It's a family affair: The mother of troubled Disney teen star Demi Lovato has followed in her daughter's footsteps and entered rehab.

By all accounts Demi Lovato's mom is a highly supportive parent -- even going so far as to get the same recovery tattoo as her daughter -- and now Dianna Hart de la Garza is taking it a step further. The stage mom checked herself into rehab.

Demi Lovato's mom went to rehab to deal with her own issues that she thinks may have contributed to her daughter's problems.

An insider told the NY Post, "It has been a tough year for Demi, and her mom has been a constant source of support. But fame has also taken its toll on her family. Now [that] Demi is strong again, her mom could take some time to deal with her own issues."

Lovato went to rehab last November to deal with "emotional and physical" issues that turned out to be self-mutilation, an eating disorder and bipolar disorder.

As for that "Stay strong" tattoo? Lovato tweeted, "My mom surprised me with it when I was in treatment. And she wanted to show me how proud she was of me for getting help and changing my life... I love her so much."

Dianna is believed to have completed her treatment already and is back home with her family.
